Team Start-UpTeam Start-Up is the backbone of Rayner & Associates' new line of team training programs. It is appropriate for both newly forming teams and teams that are established but need a jump-start to improve their effectiveness. The focus of Team Start-Up is on six essential elements that all teams should have in place: a clear sense of the team's purpose and boundaries, the behaviors team members are expected to demonstrate, the structure that team meetings will follow, the required roles team members will play, and the process by which team decisions will be made. Establishing a successful team requires considerable forethought, resources, energy, and time. Our experience has shown that without first addressing each of these fundamental issues, team members will have difficulty working together and achieving positive results. Like all of our workshops, Team Start-Up is structured to make the best use of training time through hands-on activities and learning-by-doing. For example, team members don't just learn how to create a team charter; they leave the workshop with an actual charter draft that they developed together as a team. Specific modules covered in the Team Start-Up Workshop include:
